How Business Solves Social Problems (old TED)

Another oldie from TED that is still very relevant today. Michael Porter, an author familiar to any MBA student for his very influential books about strategy, defends why he thinks businesses are the best way to fix long term social problems.

While charity and donations are always hard to get, maintain and implement, a successful business model is by definition self-sustaining, and therefore able to grow and continue helping those in need.
