ACCD instructor Lynda Weinman and husband (and ACCD grad) Bruce Heavin founded Lynda back in 1995 simply to help her students access resources online. Slowly, they turned the idea into a full-on online learning company.
In what could possibly be the best exit-deal ever achieved by any designer-entrepreneur, LinkedIn decided to purchase Lynda for $1,5 billion last week.
The couple waited 20 years to sell, so it is quite obvious that they were not in it for the money, but still... well done.
